Subject: Make a Difference...

Dear Friends and Family,
  October is Breast Cancer awareness and October 20th is the anniversary of my dear friend, Monica's own purge of breast cancer.  Monica is one of the most exceptional people I have come across in my life.   She is beautiful, talented, and has the biggest heart of anyone I have ever met.  Her strength through chemo and many surgeries served not only herself but those around her.  She has been a guiding light in my life and is a light in everyone's life who knows her.
On this special day I have donated 12'' of my hair, to Pantene who makes and provides free wigs to cancer patients.   It takes 6 ponytails to make a wig, and my gesture is a small one, but I strongly believe that the world would be a much happier place if we all made more small gestures.  I feel lucky to know Monica and know that she has positively influenced the lives of so many.  So my request is this, increase your acts of kindness towards others, and make a difference, whenever you can.
Lets make this world a happier and healthier place for us all.

I've known Monica for over 20 years, and through her have had the pleasure of meeting Hillary on a handful of occasions. Everything Hillary stated about Monica is true, and I'm now in awe of Hillary, a brilliant and talented young woman in her own right who has made a wonderful gesture with Monica in mind.
